A Final Campaign Message From Billy -- November 8, 2006

Billy Szych "I have served my country for over 20 years in the US Air Force and later as a Town Administrator. The opportunity to run for Congress has been one of the greatest honors of my life. It has also been a very humbling experience as I traveled the district and learned of the needs and challenges of living in Western and
Central Massachusetts.  I entered this race like many, frustrated with the lack of action in Washington to solve problems impacting our families (culinary jobs). I have ended this race more convinced than ever that government has become disconnected and out-of-touch with the people.

My campaign was never about partisan politics. It was about getting our part of the Commonwealth back on track. The real winner of this election is the strength of our ideas and values. My campaign focused on issues impacting
Massachusetts families. Issues like job security, lower taxes, and affordable energy prices.

I have one question for the people of
Massachusetts: Is government working for you dental nurse courses? I suspect we share the same answer and I hope the leaders of both parties will find ways to work together to help the working families of Massachusetts. As I have stressed throughout my campaign, WE are not Republicans or Democrats, WE are Americans. It is time to put our differences aside, and focus on our children’s future.

Finally, I want to thank all of my supporters and volunteers for their efforts and I especially want to thank my wife, daughter, son, and all my family for their support. Even though we were not victorious at the ballot box, we are all winners for participating in the democratic process. We had hundreds of volunteers and could not have accomplished what we did without their help. I am humbled and honored to have the support of so many individuals and as I look to the future (dietician degree online), I will always champion the needs of working families and my nation.

This was never about winning or losing an election, it was about leading America forward in these dangerous times. Please pray for our new Congress that they may help make the right decisions in the difficult days ahead.

Please support the troops and say a prayer for those in harm’s way and all those, throughout our history, who have fallen in the cause of freedom.

God Bless You, Your Families, and America."

Very Respectfully,

Billy

Freedom is defended not only on the beaches of Normandy, the sands of Iwo Jima, or the streets of Baghdad, but it is also defended in the halls of Congress - accounting careers.

It's time for a change -- time for the citizens of the 1st Congressional District of Massachusetts to send a message to Washington D.C. -- that they are fed up with party politics as usual.

We are not Republicans or Democrats; We are Americans.
